Microporous Membrane Filter (Sterile, MCE)
Microporous Membrane Filters are widely used for microbiological water quality testing based on the membrane filtration method specified in national standards and pharmacopoeia. The membrane is made of mixed cellulose (CN‑CA), featuring excellent pore‑forming performance, good hydrophilicity, and high cost‑effectiveness. It offers a broad operating temperature range and is resistant to dilute acids (not suitable for filtration of ketones, esters, strong acids, alkalis, or similar liquids). In microbiological membrane filtration applications, the membrane ensures good nutrient permeability between the filter and the culture medium, supporting healthy colony growth with no significant spreading.
Product Features
MCE Mixed Cellulose: 0.45 μm uniform pore size – effectively retains bacteria, provides fast flow rates, and exhibits high porosity.
Grid Design: Facilitates colony counting; ensures good nutrient permeability, prevents colony spreading, and achieves a recovery rate >90 %.
Single‑Piece Individual Packaging: Ready to use immediately upon opening – minimizes contamination risk.
Strict Sterilization: Sterilized by irradiation for complete and reliable sterility.
Applications
Water Quality Testing: Filtration testing for drinking water, mineral water, and other water sources.
Food & Beverage: Microbiological safety testing for alcoholic beverages, soft drinks, and food products.
Pharmaceutical Industry: Sterile filtration of sterile preparations and culture media.
Environmental Monitoring: Collection of airborne microorganisms and particulate matter.
